Google’s ADT partnership finally has a new home security product to show for it

Google and home security provider ADT have finally released their much-anticipated collaboration, the ADT Security Hub. The device, which is now available in certain regions, marks the convergence of two of the largest tech giants in the home security space.

The ADT Security Hub is a comprehensive product that helps keep homes safe, offering real-time alerts, remote monitoring, and even artificial intelligence-based intelligence. The device is available with a 150-decibel alarm, motion sensors, door and window sensors, and a camera. It can also be connected with Google-owned Nest products to create an even more comprehensive home security system.

For some users, the ADT Security Hub won’t be a complete solution for total home security. However, for those who want the peace of mind of a reliable system and 24/7 monitoring and support from ADT, the product could prove to be a worthwhile investment.

The device is also compatible with a range of smart home devices, including Google Assistant and Alexa, so users can control and monitor their surroundings with voice commands or an app. One key upside of the device is that it allows for integration with other ADT services, such as home automation and energy management.

The ADT Security Hub comes with a reasonably accessible price tag, at $599.99, which includes professional monitoring and installation. While this is definitely not a cheap option, it’s still more affordable than other similar products, such as Samsung’s SmartThings home security system that costs more than twice as much.

All in all, the ADT Security Hub brings together two of the most established home security players, and it should be an enticing option for users looking for a comprehensive security solution. Its range of features, as well as its reasonable price tag, make it an attractive product for many customers.
