Release date
Nintendo has yet to officially reveal a release date, but speculation suggests that it could be coming soon. According to recent rumors, the game could be ready for release this June during the Nintendo E3 Direct. It is also possible that the game could be released during the holiday season this year, though this is unconfirmed.
Trailers
Given the lack of official announcements from Nintendo, no trailers or gameplay footage has been revealed yet. However, patent filings from late last year suggest that the game could be more story-driven then its predecessor, with an emphasis on exploring the world of Hyrule and its characters.
Gameplay
Based on the patent filings and rumors, Breath of the Wild 2 might be a more narrative-focused experience than the first game. The game could focus on the mysteries of the Kingdom of Hyrule, intertwining the stories of the Champions, the Sheikah, and the Great Calamity that took place 100 years ago.
The gameplay is expected to be similar to the original, yet with tweaks based on the story-driven angle. We can expect an even bigger and more expansive world, different summons (including some from the previous title) and probably a crafting system similar to the first game.
