The Latest News From Disney Parks, Universal Studios Resorts, and More Fan-tastical Destinations

As summer approaches and families start planning getaways, fans of theme parks and fan-tastical destinations have a lot to look forward to in 2021. The big news is that Disney Parks, Universal Studios Resorts and other popular attractions are planning to open soon with modified safety measures in place.

First, let’s take a closer look at the news from Disney. While Disney World in Orlando, Florida is open, with health and safety regulations in place, Disney has announced that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California will open on April 30th. Fans of the parks will be able to enjoy classic rides, new attractions and some of the signature Disney entertainment like parades, character meet-and-greets, and nighttime spectaculars. The new safety measures implemented by Disney includes reduced capacity and a mandatory face mask requirement. Additionally, guests will be required to follow a new reservation system, in which they must book tickets online before their arrival.

Continuing our look at the latest news from fan-tastical destinations,Universal Studios Resorts have detailed their plans for reopening. Universal Studios in Hollywood and Orlando have opened with additional safety measures in place, including mandatory face coverings and limited capacity. In order to maintain social distancing, guests are required to book pass reservations online before they visit the parks. As with Disney, Universal has introduced new entertainment experiences to keep guests entertained during their stay.

Finally, many other fan-tastical attractions are also making plans for re-opening. SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, part of the SeaWorld family of attractions, is in the process of planning park reopenings. SeaWorld Orlando will be opening its gates on March 5th, with the other parks in the US following suit soon. Six Flags amusement parks have also announced tentative park opening dates for 2021, with California and Texas units scheduled to reopen in April.

Although this unprecedented health crisis has forced many fan-tastical destinations to temporarily close, it looks like 2021 will bring fans closer to the attractions they love. With safety measures in place, visitors can look forward to a fun, safe and truly unique experience.
