It’s now just Max: all of the news from Warner Bros. Discovery’s reveal event

Recently, Warner Bros. and Discovery held a reveal event to announce all the news related to their new streaming service, Max. The streaming service was previously known as “HBO Max” but, due to the brand’s name recognition, the company decided to rebrand it as Max.

At the event, WarnerMedia executives announced that Max will launch in May 2020 and it will feature over 10,000 hours of content from WarnerMedia’s extensive library of films, TV shows, and documentaries. Some of the streaming titles available on Max at launch include Friends, South Park, The Big Bang Theory, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and much more. Additionally, WarnerMedia also announced that the library of original programming available on Max would include content from their award-winning television networks, such as HBO, TNT, TBS, and more.

At the event, WarnerMedia executives also highlighted the service’s AI-powered personalization features which will allow users to easily discover new content they may be interested in. Another exciting feature of Max is its strong commitment to accessibility, with closed captioning as well as audio description support for the visually impaired.

Moreover, WarnerMedia also announced that the streaming service’s price point would match those of the other competing services in the market. However, users will have the option to save money with their bundled subscription plans which include access to HBO Now, Cinemax, and other streaming services.
