After an exciting announcement from Microsoft and Xbox last year, the highly anticipated release date of the sixth installment in the Forza Motorsport series is finally upon us. With pre-orderers already having access to a demo, the full version is set to be released to the public on November 10th 2020. As one of Microsoft’s flagship franchise titles, the Forza Motorsport series has been a firm fan favourite of racing game enthusiasts since its original release in 2005. As such, the long awaited sixth edition is expected to open up a whole new world of gaming thrills.
One of the first stages of the game will obviously be the customization of your motor. With a huge catalogue of cars to choose from, players can modify their cars with a wide selection of features ranging from performance parts and vinyl wraps to aftermarket rims, paint colours and of course, livery designs. Players will also have the option to upgrade their vehicles with an even greater range of parts for even more powerful performance. Up to 4-player multiplayer mode is also included in the game so you can race against your friends online and trash talk over voice chat on the Xbox console or PC.
On a graphics level the new Forza Motorsport looks to be pushing the boundaries of realistic visuals to a whole new level. Ray tracing technology has been added to the game to make lighting and reflections truly photorealistic, while a new suite of graphical features such as 4K and HDR are also included. ForzaTech also uses its ‘Dynamic Racing Line’ feature to enhance gameplay, with dynamic weather and time making the game more varied and challenging than ever.
And what game would be complete without dynamic objectives, rewards and leaderboards? Players will be able to collect in-game rewards and earn weekly bonus reputation points if they complete certain tasks in the game. And of course the all-time favourite system of in-app purchases will be available for customizing cars, clothing and other cosmetic items.
All in all, the sixth installment of the Forza Motorsport series looks set to be the biggest, boldest and most visually appealing version of the franchise to date. Players can look forward to an easy-to-learn but difficult-to-master game with a huge selection of cars, tracks and customization options all pushed to their graphically enhanced limits. The hotly anticipated release date of November 10th, 2020 cannot come soon enough for Forza fans around the world.
