Ah, yes, the classic Neopets Flash games – the hours shrunk away and memories of fierce completion and elation are flooding back! Neopets, the classic virtual pet online game from the early 2000s, is now making an incredibly exciting comeback.
For those who perhaps don’t know what Neopets is, the game was originally developed by Adam Powell and Donna Williams in 1999 and quickly became an international sensation, offering a virtually endless immersive virtual reality for people big and small. But sadly, the Neopets game stopped running back in 2014, leaving a literal and, in many ways, emotional void in the online gaming world.
Until now! After an incredibly long silence, Neopets has finally confirmed that the all-time favorite Flash games – Meerca Chase, Hannah and the Pirate Caves, and Cassandra’s Cauldron Chaos are all coming back to the Neopets site.
Amongst all the news that has emerged, one most notably significant feature is that the Flash games will remain exactly as their 2000’s original versions. It’s a time machine experience!
Aside from classical Flash game reboots, another, highly-anticipated update, is making its way to the Neopets site – the mobile version. As for now, Neopets have not shared any other details on their imminent mobile project.
It’s already been 18 years since the launch of Neopets – and now, the virtual world has stepped in to the 21st century, finally. All the classic games plus many more; the Neopets fun times are back, and countless are thrilled to relive the nostalgia and join the new gaming world – a Neopets paradise!
