Take-Two seemingly hints again at GTA 6 being released before March 2025

In gaming news, video game company Take-Two Interactive recently hinted again at the potential release of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) before March 2025.

First, some background: Grand Theft Auto, the widely acclaimed and successful series of video games published by Take-Two, has been one of the most influential and popular video games since its release in 1997. The series, which consists of open-world action-adventure titles, has sold more than 250 million copies since its first installment. The fifth main installment in the series, Grand Theft Auto V, was released in 2013 to financial and critical success, selling more than 130 million copies. Since then, fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting the release of its sixth installment.

It appears that the wait might soon be over. Earlier this month, Take-Two co-President Karl Slatoff hinted that the game might be released before March 2025. Speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, Slatoff said the company “has a lot of new titles in development, many of which have yet to be announced,” suggesting that GTA 6 is one of them.

He went on to specify a timeline for the release of these new titles: “Over the next three-plus years, you will be hard-pressed to find a better software line-up in the large-scale AAA [genre]. So that’s sort of the time frame that we’re looking at.”

Last year, fans noted that Slatoff had referred to games such as Grand Theft Auto as “very long cycle” titles, meaning they take a long time to develop. Now, given Slatoff’s latest comments, it’s possible that the game is more than halfway done and will be released before March 2025.

Overall, while Take-Two hasn’t made any official announcements, this latest comment from Slatoff suggests that GTA 6 is indeed in development and could possibly be released in the near future. Fans of the series will have to stay tuned for further updates.
