Just recently, Xbox had announced that it was introducing a fourteen-day Xbox Game Pass trial for a mere one dollar. It was a special offer one could avail with an existing Xbox Live Gold subscription. This exciting offer gave millions of gamers the chance to try out a selection of popular Xbox Game Pass titles such as Starfield, one of the most anticipated video games of all time.
Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft has since withdrawn the $1 14-day Xbox Game Pass trial. This means that gamers who were looking to get their first taste of Starfield for a mere $1 will have to wait for the game’s official release or spend full-price on the Xbox Game Pass.
The details behind the abrupt takeover of the special offer are currently unknown. Microsoft has been tight lipped about the reasons for why they have provided the special offer in the first place and why they have since retracted it. Many speculate that the company simply felt that the offer was too lucrative and may be looking to bring something else suiting a similar mold to replace it.
All in all, the news of Xbox removing the $1 14-day Xbox Game Pass trial came as a big disappointment for the gaming community.
