After nearly four decades, the Star Wars story is far from over — and there are more tales of the Jedi on the way.
New stories in a galaxy far, far away have recently been reported. Fantasy Flight Games recently announced that they will be releasing a new card game based on the Star Wars universe, called Star Wars: Destinies of the Force. In the game, players become a Force-sensitive hero and play as iconic characters such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Rey. The game will feature a storyline surrounding the fall of the Jedi Order and other lore.
There have also been reports of another Star Wars project in the works; this one is a video game based on the original Star Wars trilogy. This game will focus on the story of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, and the battles they led against the Empire. The game promises to feature a deeper look into their characters and adventures. It is speculated that the game could take place in between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
Finally, an upcoming Star Wars book series, was recently announced titled, “Tales of the Jedi.” The series will be set in the time of the Galactic Civil War and focus on the impact the Jedi had on the galaxy. These novels will tell stories of the heroic Jedi, their struggles against the Empire, and their ultimate fate.
Star Wars fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming years. The franchise still has a lot of stories to tell—many of which will be centered around the Jedi. Whether it be an interactive game, a card game or novels, the tales of the Jedi will be continuing for some time.
